My Space Birthday

I’ve always been fascinated by space since I was a kid. One day, while watching a video, I discovered that NASA has an API available. So I decided to try it out and build this simple app.

The app shows the photo NASA took on the exact day you were born, just a cool way to see what the universe looked like on your birthday.

I learned how to consume a third-party API, reading its documentation, handling authentication methods, and working with data I don’t control.

An important lesson was how to keep my credentials safe by not uploading them to GitHub and properly ignoring the files containing sensitive info.
