Pomodoro

This project started in a Discord community where one guy was super into doing pomodoros all the time. One day he said, “Let’s make a Pomodoro app,” and a few of us jumped in.

Someone shared a Figma design, I took care of the development, and another person used it as a way to practice Material UI and Redux Toolkit. We all contributed in our own way, and it was fun seeing it come to life.

The app is built in TypeScript, and even though it’s been a while since I made it, I still like showing it off, I’m proud of how clean the UI looks, especially with the dark theme.

This project taught me not to accept every correction blindly.

At one point, someone told me I had written something wrong in my code. I changed it, assuming they were right. Later on, another dev reviewed the same part and said, “Hey, your original approach was actually correct.” Turns out, the first person had misunderstood the concept.

It was a simple but powerful reminder: always think for yourself and double-check, feedback is great, but critical thinking is better.

Building something collaborative made the learning process deeper, I wasn’t just coding, I was understanding how real-world teamwork feels like.
